Coinciding with the change in seasons, the U of MN Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) program has a program change to share with you.
Over the next 3 months I will be transitioning out of my position as the Deputy Director of the Health Emergency Response Office and Director of the U of MN MRC program. I will remain in my role as MRC Director through January 2023 while training in Courtney Wetternach, who will serve as the MRC Coordinator.
Courtney and I have been colleagues in the realm of public health emergency preparedness and response for over 18 years. I feel fortunate to be able to hand over the leadership of the U of MN MRC program to an experienced public health colleague for whom I have great admiration.

Notification Drill
Purpose:
To familiarize U of MN MRC members with the manner (text and email) in which they will be notified of an MRC deployment and allow members to practice signing up for a shift using Shiftboard.
Member Time Commitment:
2-4 minutes

Location: You will be able to participate in this drill remotely
Additional Information: All drill participants will be entered into a drawing for a $25.00 gift card to the University of Minnesota bookstore.
Important Member Action
In preparation for the November 16th MRC Member Notification Drill we are asking all members to review your cell phone carrier and number in the MRC registry. Members who do not have accurate phone carrier and cell phone numbers in the registry will not receive the notification text during the drill.
Student Advisory Group: Final Request for Applications
Applications for membership on the U of MN MRC's Student Advisory Group are being accepted until Tuesday, November 1.
Members of the Student Advisory Group serve a one year term in an advisory role to the MRC Director.
