Regular MRC activities such as strike team meetings, drills, and in person training events were put on hold back in February of 2020.
We plan to resume a select number of MRC activities this fall, starting with a Logistics Strike Team meeting. A robust Logistics Strike Team is the cornerstone of our MRC unit's success. In order to maintain a strong Logistics Strike Team, we are setting a recruitment goal of adding an additional 20 members to the team roster.
Membership on this strike team may be of particular interest to members who do not have a medical or healthcare license.
More information regarding this strike team is included below.

Opportunity to Assist with Emergency Preparedness and Response Training
The University of Minnesota School of Public Health (SPH) is working on an exciting new project known as Minnesota Prepared. One goal of this project is to build and revamp emergency preparedness and response education and training materials for current and future public health workers and volunteers.
Over the past two years, you may have completed some trainings in preparation for responding to COVID-19 or other emergencies and disasters. You may have noticed the need to bring these trainings up-to-date with current technologies.
DETAILS
-Three volunteers are needed to provide feedback on two different training modules, "Outbreak at Watersedge" and "NIMS and ICS: A Primer for Volunteers".
- SPH staff overseeing this project will host a Zoom session where all the individuals providing feedback go through the module together and provide comments on the content, flow, graphics, etc as the training moves along.
- Each session will be roughly one hour long
- The goal is to complete the first session (Outbreak at Watersedge) sometime in the next 2-3 weeks.
- This is not an MRC deployment. This project is being led by the School of Public Health.
