University of Minnesota Medical Reserve Corps Response Teams
Response teams offer an opportunity for small group interaction and provide for better alignment with member expertise and interest. Response teams also provide a structure for targeted training, operational planning, and exercises.
Behavioral Health Response Team
This team works to minimize the harmful psychological effects of stress and trauma on surviving individuals and families immediately following a disaster. Members of this team must have behavioral health professional experience or be a graduate student working towards licensure in a behavioral health related profession.
Vaccination Team
In response to a request from Boynton Health for assistance during campus COVID-19 vaccination clinic operations, the Medical Reserve Corps has developed a Vaccination Team.
MRC Logistics Response Team
This team is responsible for resource management before and during deployments including the physical set up of the deployment site.
Pharmaceutical Response Team
This team responds to local and national public health emergencies that have a pharmaceutical response component.
Veterinary Medicine Response Team
This team responds to local and national animal health emergencies.
Medical Station Response Team
This team provides on-site medical care during an emergency incident, including initial medical assessment of acute health concerns and support for chronic health conditions during an emergency.
Witness Support Response Team
This team provides structured triage and support for witnesses in the aftermath of a large incident on campus.
