UMNPrepared: Naloxone Training

Do you know the signs of someone experiencing an overdose? Do you know how to safely and properly administer a dose of naloxone when someone is experiencing an overdose? 

This training is designed for laypeople to provide information on how to properly administer Naloxone to someone experiencing an opioid overdose. The session will cover topics such as current data on the opioid crisis, how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, what is naloxone, how to administer, and other related topics.

This training is sponsored by the the Health Emergency Response Office (HERO) and the Steve Rummler HOPE Network. This course is taught by Overdose Prevention Specialists and includes an IM naloxone kit with a certificate of completion. The course limited to 45 participants.

A light lunch will be provided. Please bring your own beverage.
