Topic: Enhancing Campus Readiness for Meningococcal Disease Response.
Meningococcal B disease (Meningitis B) outbreaks have occurred at university campuses across the country.
If a Meningococcal B disease outbreak occurred on our campus, what important role would our MRC have in the response?
Join us on Tuesday, September 24 to:
- Hear Minnesota Department of Health staff present an epidemiologic update about Menigococcal disease and report on outbreaks of Meningococcal B disease on other campuses around the
country - Learn about campus response plans should an outbreak happen on our campus
- Hear how the MRC would be called upon to assist at mass vaccination clinics and the many roles that would need to be staffed
- Learn more about the upcoming MRC Just in Time Training Drill on Thursday, October 24th. This drill is based on the scenario of a Meningococcal B disease outbreak on the University of Minnesota campus.
