Sydney Redepenning is a researcher at HERO and the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP). She works as a co-producer for the Osterholm Update podcast, as a teaching assistant for HERO/CIDRAP's undergraduate classes, and on a variety of other projects, including CIDRAP's Influenza Vaccine Roadmap Research & Development Funding Tracker.
She joined HERO and CIDRAP in December 2019 as an undergraduate student worker. After completing her BS in Health and Wellbeing Sciences in 2022, she continued working at HERO and CIDRAP as a graduate research assistant. She completed her MS in environmental health in January 2024. Her thesis focused on the association between different sources of pandemic information and pandemic-related beliefs and behaviors among US college students. In addition to her HERO and CIDRAP work, she is a PhD Candidate in the Division of Environmental Health Sciences.
