As soon as I heard that about the MRC, I knew I wanted to be a member – it is a great way to give back to my University community as well as the communities we serve when deployed. I believe public health preparedness is so important and this gave me a chance to be a part of those efforts. Once I joined, in 2004, I was hooked because I love working with the fantastic MRC staff.

I have been a member of the Fit Test Strike Team for several years and have served as the Team Lead for the last few years. I am also a member of the MRC Leadership team.

There are so many great training sessions offered by the MRC. I believe I have taken advantage of most, if not all of them, including Psychological First Aid, Bystander CPR, Incident Command System, and Personal and Family Emergency Preparedness training.
