I joined the Medical Reserve Corps because I am conducting research that deals with the development of drugs as bioterrorism countermeasures, but wanted to find a way to directly serve my community in the event of a public health emergency. I have participated in meetings for all MRC members, the Logistics Strike Team, and the Pharmaceutical Response Strike Team as well as an MRC staff staging drill.
