As someone who really benefited as a part of the larger community, I really wanted to take an opportunity to learn and respond to various medical emergencies and needs that our communities always seem to be in need of. The best we can do is to respond to our very neighbors' need that in times of hardship and needs, and by joining the Medical Reserve Corps, I can be a small part of something bigger that we all might one day need.
I have been a U of M MRC member since 2017 and have participated in several MRC activities, including Pharmaceutical Response Strike team meetings, drills, and the basic first aid class.
