Vet Med Student Rabies Vaccination Clinic

Boynton Health has requested MRC Vaccine Injectors to assist with administering the Rabies vaccine to Veterinary Medicine students. Staffing shortages have impacted Boynton's ability to cover the shifts necessary to staff this important vaccination campaign.

Shift Details

Dates: Monday, October 4, Monday, October 11, and Monday, October 25
Location: St. Paul Campus, Coffey Hall, in the Conference Room that is located across the hallway from the Boynton clinic
Shift Times: 12:00pm to 2:15pm and 2:15pm to 4:30pm

Roles Needed

Vaccine Injector: Administer vaccine injection into upper arm of clients. Must be currently licensed as a MD, PA, CNP, Pharmacist, RN, LPN, CMA. Eligible members may sign up on Shiftboard.

Additional Details

  • Parking: Boynton will validate your parking, if you park in one of the parking ramps.
  • You will be provided appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Training: You will receive training related to administering the rabies vaccine prior to the beginning of your shift.
  • Please bring a water bottle and wear your Medical Reserve Corps t-shirt, if you have one.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the University of Minnesota Medical Reserve Corps has deployed volunteers to support many response efforts across campus and throughout our community.
